Adjacent to the Palmer Museum of History and Art is the Mat-Valley Agricultural Showcase. Within this garden is a wide selection of flowers and vegetables when during the height of the summer provide a glimpse of the growing capabilities under the midnight sun in Alaska. In the garden, you will feast upon an array of colors and textures that will remind you of your childhood when all you needed to pass the time was some fresh air and a wild imagination. The garden is open year-round and is free to the public. We ask, in order to maintain the integrity of the garden, that no dogs or unaccompanied children enter. The garden is for viewing purposes only. No picking or harvesting of the vegetables is allowed as they are donated to the residents of the Palmer Senior Center.
