SUMMARY:19th Annual Running with the Bulls!
DESCRIPTION:We’re so happy to announce that we’ll be hosting our annual run/walk in person this year! The race takes you through our seventy-five acres of pastureland and past our herd of eighty musk oxen with incredible views of the mountains. \n\n\n\n11:00AM:  1K Kid’s Fun Run: open to ages 0-7\, parents welcome to run with their kiddos! \n\n\n\n12:00PM: 5K Run/Walk: enjoy a 5K run or walk along the course! \n\n\n\n 10K Run: up for a challenge? Try running the 10K course! \n\n\n\nVIRTUAL: Choose your own adventure from wherever you are! \n\n\n\nCOURSE DETAILS: The course takes you through our pastures and perimeter of our 75 acre property. No part of the course is paved at any point\, it is over mowed pastureland throughout the entire race. There will be sections of uneven footing and hills. A large portion of the course is not shaded\, so don’t forget the sunscreen! Water is not provided on the course\, so please plan to bring your own. There will be water for filling bottles/ camelbaks before and after the race. You will be rewarded with amazing views of the Chugach & Talkeetna mountains\, and musk oxen of course! The course takes you to parts of the property not usually open to the public. \n\n\n\nOTHER DETAILS: \n\n\n\n Light snacks will be provided. Parking will be limited\, so please carpool with friends! No stopping to view the animals along the course will be permitted\, no petting or touching musk oxen is allowed at any time. Restroom options will include outdoor washrooms\, porta-potties\, and indoor facilities. Masks are required inside our building\, if you wish to use the indoor restrooms or come into the gift shop\, you will need to have a mask with you. \n\n\n\nMASKS: Race participants will not be required to wear a mask while on the course. However\, at the time of the writing of this event\, our protocols require masks for all visitors inside of our building\, and outside during their tour with us. This is at the recommendation of the Alaska Sate Vet\, as musk oxen are thought to be susceptible to COVID-19.The course will be set in a way that ensures participants will not be gathering around a musk ox at close range next to fencing\, as can happen on our regular tours. We felt it was important to bring up the distinction as to why masks are still required at any other time other than on the course for race day. That said\, please bring a mask with you for use inside our building. \n\n\n\nQuestions?? Email info@muskoxfarm.org!

SUMMARY:Happy Run
DESCRIPTION:The Happy Run is a fun run organized by Active Soles Performance Footwear in Palmer. It takes place every Monday at 6 p.m. \n\n\n\nStarting at the Active Soles shop located in the Koslosky’s building in Palmer. This event happens year round and is a family friendly activity catering to everyone\, from the more serious athletes to walking parents with strollers. \n\n\n\nThough the runs are chosen to avoid traffic as much as possible\, we believe in safety first during the winter months so headlamps and reflective gear are REQUIRED. \n\n\n\nSign up to register for each run\, where we will keep track of your participation. After each week’s run\, participants can pick up a raffle ticket to become eligible for the free prize giveaways at 7 p.m.
