Brian Martin, Artist of the Week

About Brian

Brian Martin is an Artist of a different color with a multitude of talents and creations. “I have no formal training. However, I have been painting since I was eight years old from duplication of others’ art to a wide range of estranged works in digital, brush, finger, tool painting, and sketching. I also work with pencil, charcoal, colored pencil, pastel crayon, sculpting (metal to paper), and all types of paints (Oil, Watercolor, Acrylic, Glue, etc.). I have changed careers several timesover the past 40 years due to injuries.
I have been retrained numerous times. At this point in life, I have decided I needed to move on and make a go of it with my art so I could bring joy to the history and community in which I live and not be paced by another’s actions and or career. Art is my mirror of the world around me and how I perceive my surroundings on canvas.”
