At the Museum

Our exhibits feature the story of the Palmer area, all the way from Ahtna times to the gold rush and finally through the Matanuska Colony. In addition to Palmer’s history, we strive to promote our town’s thriving arts culture, featuring many exhibits from Palmer artists.

After you see the museum, take a walking tour to experience our town’s story, or relax in our beautiful showcase garden. Experience the diversity of Alaska’s gardening and agriculture, including legendary giant vegetables, all in the heart of downtown.
