Join us IN PERSON or on Facebook Live for a free walking tour of our Farm with director Jodie Anderson as she provides information and history. We have a LOT going on here this Summer and are excited to share the opportunities to get involved and learn.
The University of Alaska Fairbanks Matanuska Experiment Farm and Extension Center strives to make programs accessible for all individuals. We will move as a group a short distance from our main building to our variety trials passing our cow pen on our dirt packed trail. This is about a 1/4 mile distance that is wheel chair accessible. If you join us for a tour in the Winter months we regularly clear snow and lay down gravel, but we recommend you bring along someone to assist you if you are using a wheelchair. If you do not have a winter/snow-friendly wheelchair then the option of driving and meeting the group at the second location is welcome. Please let us know if this is something you would like to do. If you or a family member who is attending a program need other accommodations such as an ASL interpreter to participate, please contact our office with at least 7 days in advance to request services.
Feel free to call our office with any questions (907) 745-3360 or email Jessica Bird @jbird@alaska.edu or Theresa Isaac @tmisaac@alaska.edu See Less
